Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA neomycin resistance cassette replaced the first three coding exons. Western blot analysis revealed a truncated immunoreactive product in the brains of P0 homozygous mutant pups that decreased after P7 and was not detectable in adult mice. Immunofluorescence analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in adult mutant brains. (J:221234)
