Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion     Vector: L1L2_Bact_P

Mutation detailsThe cassette is composed of from 5' to 3' an frt site, an En2 splice acceptor cassette containing a beta--galactosidase sequence, and loxP-flanked neomycin cassette, containing a frt site, inserted downstream of exon 1. A third loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 2. The critical exon is thus flanked by loxP sites. FLP mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked lacZ and neo cassette leaving exon 2 flanked by loxP sites. Further information on targeting strategies used for this and other IKMC alleles can be found at http://www.informatics.jax.org/mgihome/nomen/IKMC_schematics.shtml. (J:155845, J:213699)
