description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Mrgpra3-GFP/cre)#Xzd expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsHomologous recombination in bacteria was used to insert an EGFP/cre fusion gene sequence into a BAC (RP23-311C15) containing the Mrgpra3 locus, so that the fusion protein was expressed from the Mrgpra3 promoter. RT-PCR results demonstrated GFP/cre expression only in dorsal root ganglia (DRG) and trigeminal ganglia in adults, consistent with endogenous Mrgpra3 tissue expression. Founder and line number information is not available. (J:197482)
