Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:196609
Parent Cell Line:  R1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl+
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Hypomorph)
Mutations:    Insertion, Nucleotide substitutions

Mutation detailsA targeting vector introduced the floxed nucleotide substitution of GGAA to TCGC in the 14 kb upstream regulatory element (URE) at the PU.1 site. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette inserted upstream of the modified region. Real-time PCR confirmed reduced transcript expression. This allele is hypomorphic. (J:196609)
