Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsExon 1 was floxed and an FRT flanked neo cassette was inserted downstream of exon 1 via homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination deleted exon 1 leaving the neo cassette insertion intact. RT-PCR and immunohistochemical analyses confirmed the absence of mRNA and protein expression in cartilage from homozygous mice. (J:184281)
