Mutation details: A modified zeta-globin promoter together with an alpha-globin enhancer was used to drive expression of lacZ. The zeta-globin promoter was modified by replacing bases -83 to -112 with bases -134 to -193 of the gamma-globin promoter. Lac-Z was expressed in erythroid cells.
