Transgene
origin
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6 or DBA/2
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Tagln-cre)1Zli expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsExpression of nuclear-localized Cre recombinase is driven by the promoter region of the mouse tagln gene, including 2126 bp of 5' flanking sequence, the first exon, the first intron and the first 15 bp of the second intron with the last four nucleotides modified from CATG to GCTT to remove the initiation codon. In transgenic mice, Cre is expressed initially in the heart and somites and later in the arteries of the vascular system, but not in the visceral muscles nor in the veins. (J:34770, J:82809)
