Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Six2-GFP/cre)1Amc expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsIn this transgene, the Six2 promoter drives a fusion protein of GFP and Cre recombinase. The transgene was randomly inserted into the genome. GFPCre is expressed transiently in renal epithelial precursors during the developmental period of active nephrogenesis. No GFPCre expression is present in the adult, and no expression is observed after injury. (J:148456)
