Mutation details: This transgene contains a mouse genomic bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) containing the integral membrane protein 2B gene (Itm2b) into which the coding sequence for enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP), followed by a polyadenylation signal, has been inserted at the ATG transcription initiation codon so that expression of the reporter mRNA/protein is driven by the regulatory sequences of the mouse gene.
