Notes

Although spontaneous revertants of non-agouti retain part of the inserted sequence present in the a allele and are white- or light-bellied agouti (A^w-like), the targeting event that produced A^tm1Brd removed the entire insertion, resulting in a fully agouti coat like that of mice bearing the A allele.
