Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Apctm1.1Tno
Name: APC, WNT signaling pathway regulator; targeted mutation 1.1, Tetsuo Noda
MGI ID: MGI:3764940
Synonyms: Apc580D, Apc580delta
Gene: Apc  Location: Chr18:34220924-34322552 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr18, 18.53 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:127452
Parent Cell Line:  J1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S4/SvJae
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsOne loxP site was inserted into intron 13 and the other, with a PGK-neo cassette, into intron 14. Exon 14 was excised by Cre mediated recombination, resulting in a nonsense frame-shift mutation. Excision of the exon was confirmed by RT-PCR and sequencing analysis of mRNA isolated from the large intestine. Western blot detected the truncated product (70 kDa). (J:127452, J:156864)
