Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:126511
Parent Cell Line:  HM-1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd-Hprtb-m3
Allele Type:    Targeted
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsThe open reading frame was replaced with that of Gja2 and a neo cassette flanked by FRT sites. The neo cassette was subsequently removed by Flp-mediated recombination following a cross to Tg(ACTFLPe)9205Dym mice. The replacement of protein products was confirmed by western blot analysis on protein extracts from heart lysates. (J:126511)
