Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector     Vector: pGT0Lxf     Vector Type: gene trap

Mutation detailsThe gene trap vector pGT0Lxf was inserted into intron 4 and is predicted to generate a fusion protein of 163 kDa with 152 N-terminal amino acids from Cdk8 fused to 1323 amino acids of the beta-geo selection marker. The authors state that this allele is a functional null and the protein product has no kinase activity. LacZ expression was confirmed by a beta-galactosidase assay. (J:125327)

Notes
All BayGenomics gene trap mutations were generated in either CGR8 or E14TG2a (129P2/OlaHsd) parental ES cell lines, with the majority in subline E14TG2a.4. The specific ES cell line in which each mutation was made is not specified.
