Name: endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1; targeted mutation 1, Luc Van Kaer
MGI ID: MGI:3714520
Synonyms: ERAP1-
Gene: Erap1  Location: Chr13:74787692-74841324 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr13, 40.48 cM, cytoband C1
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:122479
Parent Cell Line:  TL1/TL-1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S6/SvEvTac
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsA targeting vector was designed to replace a 600 kb fragment from intron 4 up to the 5' end of exon 6 (which contains the sequence encoding the Zinc-binding motif in the putative active site of the endogenous protein) with a neomycin resistance cassette. RT-PCR verified absence of mRNA in splenocytes and no protein is detected in hepatocytes by immunoblot. (J:122479)
