Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA neo cassette with a 3' loxP site followed by an alkaline phosphatase gene with a 3' loxP site was inserted into exon 3. Transient cre expression was used to knockin a transgene composed of 1.4kb of the promoter of Penk1, 600bp of the 5' UTR and first intron of Penk1 fused to a LacZ cassette and the 3'UTR of Penk1 between the alkaline phosphatase gene and the second loxP site. RT-PCR confirmed transgene expression of LacZ mRNA in brain, heart and liver tissue. (J:81778)
