Strain of Origin:  FVB
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutations:    Insertion, Intergenic deletion

Mutation detailsThis transgene consists of a 5.5 kb fragment of the Tyr promoter and a 3.6 kb fragment of the Tyr enhancer driving expression of a tamoxifen inducible form of cre recombinase. 3 lines were generated which all showed tamoxifen-inducible Cre activity in cutaneous melanocytes. This is a representative record for all 3 lines. Line 13 contains 2 copies of the transgene inserted into chromosome 2 (chr2:129,989,606; NCBI37/mm9) 7.8 kb downstream of Snrpb and 9.6 kb downstream of Tgm6 with a 3 kb deletion at the integration site.
