Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:136334
Parent Cell Line:  Bruce 4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  B6.Cg-Thy1a
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA loxP- flanked neomycin selection cassette was inserted downstream of exon 4 and a loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3. Transient Cre expression removed the selection cassette, leaving loxP sites flanking exons 3 and 4. The correct targeting of the allele was confirmed through southern blotting and PCR. (J:106419, J:136334)
