Mutation details: A loxP- flanked neomycin selection cassette was inserted downstream of exon 4 and a loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3. Transient Cre expression removed the selection cassette, leaving loxP sites flanking exons 3 and 4. The correct targeting of the allele was confirmed through southern blotting and PCR.
