Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Transposon induced (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Transposon insertion

Mutation detailsTransposition of a single copy of a sleeping beauty transposable element gene trap vector occurred into an exon of this gene disrupting RNA expression as shown by RT-PCR analysis. This gene trap vector consists of the inverted repeat direct repeat sequence specific for sleeping beauty transposase flanking human BCL2 splice acceptor sequence, IRES, LacZ, poly A signal, a chimeric CAG promoter containing sequence from the chicken ACTB promoter, GFP, and splice donor sequence. LacZ expression is seen at E11.5 in specific regions of the embryo including the limb buds and somites. mixed. This allele was generated from mice carrying TgTn(sb-lacZ,GFP)T5Jtak and Tg(ACTB-sb10)1Jtak. (J:104039)
