Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Pgrtm2(cre)Lyd expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsCre recombinase cDNA was inserted into exon 1. An untranslated region was created immediately 5' of the cDNA by mutating the ATG codon for the B isoform to prevent an in-frame fusion from the N-terminal of the cre cDNA to the remaining 120 amino acids at the N-terminal end of the endogenous gene. A loxP-flanked neo was inserted 3' of the cre insertion. RNase protection analysis demonstrated that cre transcription was restricted to progestin target tissues, including the uterus, mammary gland and oviduct/ovary. (J:97321)
