Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Map1btm1Prop
Name: microtubule-associated protein 1B; targeted mutation 1, Friedrich Propst
MGI ID: MGI:3575407
Synonyms: MAP1B-, MAP1Bdelta93
Gene: Map1b  Location: Chr13:99421464-99516602 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr13, 52.9 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:97423
Parent Cell Line:  R1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl+
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation details20.5 kb of sequence including codons 96-2389, comprising exons 3-5 and part of exon 6, were deleted upon the insertion of a neomycin resistance cassette. Transcripts containing exon 5 sequences were not found in analysis of mutants, and both heavy and light chain polypeptides were absent from immunoblots of mutants. Also absent were any truncated amino-terminal proteins encoded by exons 1 or 2. (J:97423)
