Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Transposon induced (Reporter)
Mutation:    Transposon insertion

Mutation detailsThis is a Sleeping Beauty transposon construct which includes a Carp -actin splice acceptor and exon sequences with stop codons in all three reading frames, followed by the EMCV internal ribosome entry site (IRES) and Clontech's Tet-off cDNA, with an SV40 polyadenylation signal, all between the inverted terminal repeats of the transposon (IR/DRs), This mutation was generated by germline mobilization of chromosomally-resident transposons. As a consequence, this particular transposon insertion is not unique in the carrier strain. Multiple other linked insertions may exist with this insertion, although none of the others have been shown to be in genes at the time of submission. (J:95211, J:95462)
