Mutation details: A targeting construct was used to replace exon 2 with the endogenous 56 bp secretion signal sequence upstream of a hemagglutinin-tagged mature Serpine2 1137 bp cDNA sequence. Downstream of this were IRES-NLS-lacZ-pA and TK-neo-pA cassettes. By staining, expression profiles of Beta-galactosidase in sagittal sections were as expected as activity was under the control of the Serpine2 regulatory sequences.
