Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:92508
Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAmino acids 283-295, coded by exon 6, were replaced with an IRES-lacZ and neo cassette. Correct targeting was confirmed by Southern blot analysis. Quantitative PCR of heterozygotes showed a mean reduction of 40% in mRNA levels in the duodenum, ileum, and colon relative to wild-type mice. (J:92508)
