Symbol: Ezrtm1Aim
Name: ezrin; targeted mutation 1, Andrea I McClatchey
MGI ID: MGI:3052158
Synonyms: Ez-, Ezdelta345-Betageo
Gene: Ezr  Location: Chr17:6738131-6782780 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr17, 4.38 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:92210
Parent Cell Line:  J1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S4/SvJae
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsLoxP sites were inserted to flank exons 3-5. An FRT-flanked promoterless Beta-galactosidase-neomycin cassette was inserted into intron 5. Crossing to EIIa-Cre mice excised the floxed region containing exons 3-5 and left the FRT-flanked Beta-geo. Immunohistochemical analysis of mutants confirmed absence of endogenous protein. Western blot of mutant neonate intenstinal tissue also demonstrated absence of protein. (J:92210)
