Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:92220
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA targeting vector was designed to delete 2.3 kb of exon one containing the ATG and encoding three of the five zinc finger motifs. A floxed neo replaced the sequence and was subsequently excised by crossing with mice expressing Cre in the germ line. Immunohistochemistry of mutant hindbrain samples showed no significant immunoreactivity. (J:92220)
