Mutation detailsSequence encoding cre recombinase was adjoined to a mouse 5.5 kb region containing Pdx1 regulatory sequences. This promoter drives expression of cre recombinase in the pancreas. Expression was observed in the acini, islets, and ducts but not in mesenchymal cells (endothelial and mesenchyme-derived smooth muscle cells). Robust cre expression can be detected by E10.5 in pancreatic epithelium. (J:76095)
