Strain of Origin:  129S6/SvEvTac
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA cassette containing lacZ and neo was inserted at the first start codon, located in exon 1a. Deleted sequence included the coding region of exon 1a, intron 1, and the 5' untranslated region of exon 1b. The downstream start codon, located in exon 1b, was left intact. Protein was undetected by Western blot analysis of skin fibroblasts and vascular smooth muscle cells obtained from homozygous mutant mice. (J:86754)
