Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:77504
Parent Cell Line:  HM-1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd-Hprt1b-m3
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA 3' portion of exon 5 and all of exon 6 were deleted by the incorporation of a targeting vector. The deleted region included sequence encoding the ITAM domain. While protein was undetected by immunoprecipitation, it was detected in homozygous mutant mice by SDS-PAGE, putatively because the anti-Cd3g serum recognizes epitopes present in the deleted region.
