Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Ccn1tm1Lfl
Name: cellular communication network factor 1; targeted mutation 1, Lester F Lau
MGI ID: MGI:2446577
Synonyms: Ccn1-, Ccn1lacZ, Cyr61-
Gene: Ccn1  Location: Chr3:145646976-145649981 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr3, 70.18 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:80618
Parent Cell Line:  J1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S4/SvJae
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsAll of exon 1 and a portion of exon 2 were replaced by a cassette inserted by homologous recombination and containing lacZ and neo. In addition to deleting endogenous sequence, the insertion of the cassette shifted downstream sequence out of frame. Expression analysis of embryonic fibroblasts derived from homozygous mutant mice indicated an absence of both transcript and protein, even after serum stimulation. Expression of lacZ was determined to be driven by the endogenous promoter. (J:80618)
