Mutation details: The endogenous locus was disrupted by the in frame insertion of lacZ and neo immediately after the translational start codon. Normal transcript was undetected by Northern blot analysis of homozygous mutant mice. Whole mount staining of mutant embryos indicated that the expression of lacZ was driven by the endogenous promoter.
