Mutation details: The gene was disrupted by insertion of a neomycin resistance cassette into exon 2 via homologous recombination. The targeted mutation removes 99 bp of exon 2 including the translation initiation codon. Absence of gene expression in homozygous mutant animals was confirmed by Nothern blot and Western blot analysis of brain samples.
