Mutation details: A point mutation was introduced into codon 126 (exon 4) resulting in the substitution of histidine with arginine (H126R). The targeting vector also contained a floxed neomycin cassette in intron 3 for selection. A silent mutation was introduced at codon 150, generating a novel KpnI site. Mice carrying this allele were bred with transgenic mice expressing cre recombinase to generate Gabra3tm1.1Uru.
