Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Tacr1tm1Sph
Name: tachykinin receptor 1; targeted mutation 1, Stephen P Hunt
MGI ID: MGI:2182395
Synonyms: NK-1-, NK1-
Gene: Tacr1  Location: Chr6:82402475-82560103 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr6, 35.94 cM, cytoband D1
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:46629
Parent Cell Line:  HM-1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd-Hprtb-m3
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion
Mutation detailsExon 1 was disrupted by the insertion of a cassette containing an IRES-lacZ gene and MC1-neo gene. A lack of ligand binding, determined by receptor autoradiography, indicated an absence of encoded protein in the brain and spinal cords of homozygous mutant mice. Immunohistochemical analysis, using an antibody raised against the carboxy terminus confirmed the lack of encoded protein. (J:46629)
