Analysis of BXD RI strains and (C57BL/6 x DBA/2)F2 mice indicated that the quantitative trait locus Siafq1 was statistically associated with D8Rik78 in the distal portion of mouse Chromosome 8. Authors did not identify any candidate genes relative to theSiafq1 phenotype in the associated region of mouse Chromosome 8. The significant association of the Siafq1 with D8Rik78 was observed in female mice only.
