Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Cnr1tm1Zim
Name: cannabinoid receptor 1 (brain); targeted mutation 1, Andreas Zimmer
MGI ID: MGI:1857762
Synonyms: Cb1-, CB1neor, CB1R KO, Cnr1-
Gene: Cnr1  Location: Chr4:33924593-33948831 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr4, 16.28 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:54995
Parent Cell Line:  MPI-II (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S2/SvPas
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsThis Cnr1 mutation was created by gene targeting in which a neo cassette replaced amino acids 33-447 of the coding region (J:54995). A neomycin resistance cassette replaced genomic sequence coding for amino acids 33-447, corresponding to most of the coding sequence of the gene. Absence of the encoded protein in homozygous animals was confirmed by receptor binding studies. (J:54995)
