Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Serpine1tm1Mlg
Name: serine (or cysteine) peptidase inhibitor, clade E, member 1; targeted mutation 1, Richard C Mulligan
MGI ID: MGI:1857287
Synonyms: PAI-1-, Planh1tm1, Serpine1tm1Mg
Gene: Serpine1  Location: Chr5:137061504-137072268 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr5, 76.16 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:39819
Parent Cell Line:  D3 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S2/SvPas
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsA PGK-neomycin resistance cassette replaced all of the Serpine1 coding sequence and part of the promoter region including the transcription initiation site. Northern blot analysis did not detect Serpine1 mRNA in endotoxin-treated homozygous mutant liver. Neither untreated nor endotoxin-treated homozygous mutant kidney produced detectable SERPINE1 immunoreactivity. A monoclonal antibody based immunofunctional assay did not detect protein levels in plasma of endotoxin-treated homozygous mutant mice. (J:39819)
