Notes

Found in the descendants of (C57BL/6 x DBA/2)F1 mice carrying an ENU-induced null mutation at the Pep7 locus. Homozygotes are recognizable at 3 weeks of age by their deformed skulls. The nasal and maxillary bones are shortened and twisted to the left, the orbits are abnormally shaped, and the junction between the frontal and parietal bones is misaligned. The fhd locus is on Chr 2 linked to agouti (J:14085).
