Notes
Homozygotes are unable to control early proliferation of the Brazil strain of T. cruzi, as determined by parasite number in the blood 16 days after intraperitoneal infection. Both progenitor strains have very little proliferation within that period and F1 offspring of BXH-2 with both progenitor strains also have low proliferation. crz is distinct from Tnfrsf6, a gene that also causes susceptibility to T. cruzi (J:7654).
