origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:163945
Parent Cell Line:  D1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129S6/SvEvTac x C57BL/6J)F1
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 4 and an FRT flanked neo cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 13. Cre mediated recombination removed exon 4 through exon 13 as well as the neo cassette. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on kidney, spleen, liver, and intestine extracts. (J:163945)
