Mutation detailsExons 10 - 13 were replaced with an IRES-lacZ-Neo fusion gene. This resulted in deletion of most of the StAR-related lipid transfer domain. A truncated 35 kDa protein consisting of exons 1 - 9 fused to exon 14 and containing a frame shift in exon 14 was detected by western blot analysis (J:89362)
