This QTL determines sensitivity to the bitter taste of cycloheximide at concentrations < 8 microM and differs between C57BL/6J and DBA/2J. Other bitterness tasting QTL, Qui and Rua, are also on Chr 6 and linked to Prh1 (proline rich salivary protein), which may be a candidate.
