Mutation details: The following elements were inserted into intron 2: FRT site, En2 splice acceptor sequence, sequence coding for F2A self-cleaving peptide, EGFP reporter gene, sequence coding for T2A self-cleaving peptide, cre/ERT2 inducible recombinase gene, SV40 poly(A) signal sequence, and a Rox site flanked puromycin resistance gene cassette. A loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 4. This creates a reporter-recombinase knockout allele.
