Mutation details: The transgene insert consists of a modified BAC RP24-69D4 (GRCm39:chr6:29037900-29208588) where the ends were trimmed to chr6:29059436-29069010 and a luciferase reporter gene was inserted into the ATG start codon in exon 2 of the Lep gene. The modified BAC contains the 5' end of the Lep gene but lacks enhancers Rr603 (LE1, upstream) and Rr604 (LE2, downstream).
