description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsGFP is fused to Arl13b cDNA and put under the control of pCAGGS promoter expression. Four different founder lines (each obtained from a different pronuclear injection) were generated and all were confirmed to specifically express GFP in cilia, while no GFP could be seen in other cell organelles. Only the one line that expresses the highest level of GFP was maintained. The pCAGGS promoter was chosen because it can drive the strong and ubiquitous expression of the Arl13b-GFP fusion protein.
