Assay type: RNA in situ
MGI Accession ID: MGI:7781808
Gene symbol: Zic1
Gene name: zinc finger protein of the cerebellum 1
Probe: Zic1 probe
Probe preparation: Antisense labelled with digoxigenin RNA
Results
Specimen 9B: embryonic day 12.5 (more )
Note: Frontal bone level
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS20: early migrating mesenchyme Present Regionally restricted 9C , 9B Expression was detected in both layers of the early migrating mesenchyme (EMM). Table 1 ++ meningeal and ++ outer EMM.
TS20: supraorbital mesenchyme Present Regionally restricted 9D , 9B Expression was detected in the meningeal layer of supraorbital mesenchyme (SOM). Table 1 ++ meningeal, (-) chodrogenic, (-) osteogenic, (-) dermal SOM.
TS20: diencephalon Strong 9B
TS20: choroid plexus Present 9B
TS20: cortical hem Present 9B
TS20: telencephalon Present Regionally restricted 9B Expression was detected in the hippocampus and the pallidum.

Specimen 9E: embryonic day 12.5 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS20: supraorbital mesenchyme Present Regionally restricted 9E Expression was detected in the meningeal layer of supraorbital mesenchyme (SOM), and in the dermal layer at the parietal bone level. Zic1 expression was not found in the calvarial anlage within the SOM, which includes the osteogenic mesenchyme for the frontal bone and the parietal bone, and the prospective coronal suture in between.

Specimen S13A: embryonic day 12.5 (more )
Note: Parietal bone level
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS20: early migrating mesenchyme Present Regionally restricted S13B , S13A Expression was detected in both layers of the early migrating mesenchyme (EMM). Table 1 ++ meningeal and ++ outer EMM.
TS20: supraorbital mesenchyme Present Regionally restricted S13A , S13C Expression was detected in the meningeal layer and in the dermal layer of supraorbital mesenchyme (SOM) at the parietal bone level. Table 1 ++ meningeal, (-) chodrogenic, (-) osteogenic, ++ dermal SOM.
