Assay type: Immunohistochemistry
MGI Accession ID: MGI:7716437
Gene symbol: Fabp5
Gene name: fatty acid binding protein 5, epidermal
Antibody: Anti-EFABP
Results
Specimen 3a: postnatal week 4 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: epiphyseal plate ossification zone Present Regionally restricted 3a At low-magnification immunoelectron microscopy, thin and long cell processes with immunoreactivity extended along the longitudinal septa toward the transverse septa.

Specimen 3b: postnatal week 4 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: epiphyseal plate ossification zone Present Regionally restricted 3d , 3c , 3b At the junctional area between the longitudinal and transverse septa, the end portion of the immunopositive cell processes possessed microvillus-like processes that intruded into the cartilage matrix of the transverse septa. Immunoreactive cells were rich in mitochondria. The immunoreactivity was specially condensed on the mitochondrial outer membrane as well as throughout the entire cytoplasm.
