Specimen 4A: embryonic day 18.5 (more )
Structure Cell Type Level Pattern Image Note
TS26: lower jaw molar ameloblast Present Regionally restricted 4A , 4B Marked staining is seen in the distal part of ameloblasts approaching the secretory stage on the distal cusp aspect, and absent in ameloblasts on the mesial aspect . Immunolabelling is observed in the ameloblast body close to the cusp tip.
TS26: lower jaw molar dental papilla Present 4A , 4B
TS26: lower jaw molar enamel organ Present Regionally restricted 4A , 4B Outer enamel epithelium showed distinct immunolabelling. Inner enamel epithelium was weakly labeled.
TS26: eye Present 4A

Specimen 4C: embryonic day 18.5 (more )
Structure Cell Type Level Pattern Image Note
TS26: lower jaw molar ameloblast Strong Regionally restricted 4C , 4D Strong immunolabelling is visible in ameloblasts at the cusp tip, in the cervical loop, and in the outer enamel epithelium, but is absent in ameloblasts that have not reached the secretory stage. Immunolabeling was also evident in ameloblasts in general.
TS26: lower jaw molar dental papilla Present 4D , 4C
TS26: cervical loop Strong 4C , 4D
TS26: lower jaw molar enamel organ Present Regionally restricted 4D , 4C Outer enamel epithelium showed distinct immunolabelling. Inner enamel epithelium was weakly labeled.

Note: Transverse section of the incisor in the apical part (early developmental stage).
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS26: incisor enamel organ Present Regionally restricted 5A Expression was detected in the outer enamel epithelium. Some immunolabelling was also evident in the inner enamel epithelium.
TS26: cervical loop Strong 5A
TS26: incisor dental papilla Present Regionally restricted 5A Expression was detected in central peripheral parts of the dental papilla.

Specimen 5B: embryonic day 18.5 (more )
Note: Transverse section of the incisor in the incisal part (later developmental stage).
Structure Cell Type Level Pattern Image Note
TS26: incisor enamel organ Strong Regionally restricted 5B Strong expression was detected in the outer enamel epithelium.
TS26: incisor ameloblast Present Regionally restricted 5B Ameloblasts entering the secretory stage also stained positive.
