Assay type: Immunohistochemistry
MGI Accession ID: MGI:7506314
Gene symbol: Aqp1
Gene name: aquaporin 1
Antibody: anti-AQP1
Results
Specimen 10A: postnatal adult (more )
Structure Cell Type Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: spiral ligament type 3 otic fibrocyte Strong Regionally restricted 10A Strong immunoreactivity was seen in a subset of fibrocytes in the spiral ligament mostly near the border with the bony shell of the cochlea. A thread-like staining pattern suggested that staining was localized on the cell processes.
TS28: middle ear epithelium epithelial cell Present Regionally restricted 10A Expression was detected in the middle ear epithelial cells covering the promontory on the surface of bony shell.

Specimen 10B: postnatal adult (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: perilymphatic channel Present Regionally restricted 10B Expression was detected in perilymphatic bone lining cells.
TS28: capillary Present Regionally restricted 10B Expression was detected in capillary wall under the spiral ligament.

Specimen 11A: postnatal adult (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: saccule Strong Regionally restricted 11A , 11B Strong immunoreactivity was observed in the endolymphatic side of the saccular membrane.
TS28: utricle Weak Regionally restricted 11A Very weak staining was detected in the utricle membrane.

Specimen 11C: postnatal adult (more )
Structure Cell Type Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: endolymphatic sac otic fibrocyte Strong Regionally restricted 11C Strong immunoreactivity was observed in fibrocytes of sub-epithelial connective tissue at the juncture between the rugose and smooth portions of the endolymphatic sac.
