Mutation details: The transgene consists of a BAC (RP23-341J5) with 160 kb around the Vsx1 locus modified by homologous recombination in E. coli to insert the CreERT2 coding sequence at the Vsx1 translation initiation codon. Nine founder lines were obtained, and line 471 with high recombination was established and used for the studies.
