Reference: J:164315 Vanden Bosch A, et al., NuSAP is essential for chromatin-induced spindle formation during early embryogenesis. J Cell Sci. 2010 Oct 1;123(Pt 19):3244-55
Assay type: Immunohistochemistry
MGI Accession ID: MGI:7451177
Gene symbol: Nusap1
Gene name: nucleolar and spindle associated protein 1
Antibody: anti-NuSAP(p)
Detection system: Secondary antibody coupled to Alexa Fluor 488
Results
Specimen 1F: postnatal adult (more )
Note: Double labeled with phospho-histone 3 (red).
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: crypt of lieberkuhn Present 1F Expression is in cells engaged in mitosis. In early mitosis (prophase, prometaphase) expression was around the chromatin, whereas during anaphase it was at the spindle microtubules. Expression was also in asmall subset of interphase cells localizing predominantly to the nucleoli.

Specimen S1A: postnatal (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: oocyte Present Regionally restricted S1A NuSAP Expression is in meiotic cells.
TS28: ovary follicle Present Regionally restricted S1A NuSAP Expression is in proliferating cells.

Specimen S4+/+: embryonic day 3.5 (more )
Note: Double labeled with F-actin (red).
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS5: inner cell mass Present S4_+/+

Specimen S4-/-: embryonic day 3.5; Nusap1tm1.1Gcm/Nusap1tm1.1Gcm (more )
Note: Double labeled with F-actin (red).
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS5: inner cell mass Absent S4_-/-
